Course Description

This online on-demand course explores the dental professional's role in the use and placement of interim therapeutic restorations (ITR). Participants will learn about the background to the materials used for ITRs and demonstrate their proper placement. The course also discusses isolation methods, the importance of marginal seal, and following up with patients after treatment. The course comprises a one-hour on-demand lecture video followed by a minimum one-hour placement of ITRs under the direct supervision of a dentist in their office. The course fulfills the Ohio State Dental Board's educational requirement for a dental hygienist or EFDA to learn how to place ITRs under teledentistry in Ohio. Consider taking this course in conjunction with Silver Diamine Fluoride for EFDAs and Dental Hygienists to maximize the skills utilized under teledentistry.
