Course Description
Learn how to use the most important program for data entry and storage
Microsoft Excel is perhaps the most important computer software program used in the workplace today. That's why so many workers and prospective employees are required to learn Excel to enter or remain in the workplace.
From the viewpoint of the employer, particularly those in the field of information systems, the use of Excel as an end-user computing tool is essential. Not only are many business professionals using Excel to perform everyday functional tasks in the workplace, but an increasing number of employers also rely on Excel for decision support.
Course Description:
This course will cover the fundamentals of creating and managing worksheets and workbooks; creating cells, ranges, and tables; applying formulas and functions; and creating charts and objects. Participants will be sufficiently proficient in addressing managing data import and export, cleaning and entering data, understanding advanced functions, analyzing and presenting data, conditional formatting, basic charts, and pivot tables.
All live sessions will be recorded and made available within UC’s learning management system. However, it is strongly recommended that you attend these sessions to gain the most benefit from this course. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions and review work problems with the instructor and become better prepared for the certification exam.

- Live office hours 2 hours per week.
- Full practice test.
- Microsoft Excel 2019 and PC is required.
- Course includes taking the Microsoft Office Specialist Excel Associate practice test.
Requirement:
Learners will need Microsoft Excel 2019 installed on their PC.
PLEASE NOTE: using a Mac or tablet and/or an older version of Microsoft will not assist learners in preparing for the certification exam.
Credentials:
This course prepares students for the Excel MOS-200 exam and the Microsoft Associate Certification/Badge.
Recommendation:
Learners should have some experience with Excel (or similar data worksheet application).

•Modules are organized into four sections.
•Each includes about one week's worth of content.
•Each section is broken down into modules that focus on individual learning objectives related to the Microsoft Excel Associate credentialing exam.
Course includes:
• Exercises
• Quizzes
• LinkedIn Learning Practice (Pre-assignment assessment)
• GMetrix Practice Test • Instructor office hours (MS Teams)
Those who finish the guided tutorials will get to test their knowledge via the GMetrix Practice Test. Learners achieving a score of 85% or better are considered prepared to take the MO-200 (Microsoft Excel 2019) certification exam.
