Course Description
Participants in UC Aspire’s NEXT Careers I: Microsoft Office Specialist Word course will gain valuable academic, occupational, and technical skills that will prepare you for your next career move. This course consists of two parts: (1) academic and career preparation activities such as resume building, job searching, and interviewing skills, and (2) hands-on technical training in MOS Word. Individuals with a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Word certification have established their ability to perform a number of administrative tasks such as creating and managing documents; formatting text, paragraphs, and sections; creating tables and lists, applying references; and inserting and formatting objects. Participants in the MOS Word certification program will learn real-world functionality with project and standards-based outcome testing. At the end of the course, participants are able to sit for the official MOS Word exam credential.
