Course Description

Participants in UC Aspire’s NEXT Careers II: Microsoft Office Specialist Excel course will gain valuable academic, occupational, and technical skills that will prepare you for your increased career opportunities within an administrative setting. This course consists of two parts: (1) academic and career preparation activities such as evaluation of personal goals; specific interviewing practices such as Topgrading; the American labor movement; contemporary issues in the workplace; and the role of artificial intelligence in the hiring process and performance management, and (2) hands-on technical training in MOS Excel. Individuals with a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Excel certification have established their proficiency in creating, managing, and distributing professional spreadsheets for a variety of specialized purposes and situations to meet project needs and to enhance productivity. At the end of the course, participants are able to sit for the official MOS Exam exam credential

Learner Outcomes
